Majority of the students currently in colleges, universities and high
schools obtained their early education in Villages.
MEDS has worked with schools in Mewat since 2000 with collabration with 'Innovative Welfare Society',Regd with Govt. of India under Act of 1860. We find many of
the students struggling in making career choices. We are seeing a
similar pattern among students of all through India. They
spend a long time in college due to frequent changes in their careers
and luck of good counseling programs in the schools they attend. This is
also in part due to gaps in the education system that does not address
specific needs of the community. One of the ways in bridging these gaps
is the implementation of Mentorship programs for students in their early
college education.

“Great program. I learnt a
lot. In looking at how Docs read 3D/4D Brain images, I was surprised how
easy they looked from real life perspective. I felt so confident and
the ringing message for me was – this is certainly do-able. Overall, the
encounter was very informal and we discussed a variety of things from
premedical, to cost of medical school, to academic preparation and
practice in medical school. I truly appreciated MEDS commitment to
making the opportunity of prospecting medical school very real. Also,
my thanks goes to the Management of MEDS who made this possible
for me and many other students.” Shiker Chand Jain, Microbiology major and
Premedical student .
